A picture of the action behind the pull - Table is continuously manned.
What do we the puller supply?
Yes we are one of only two sites I know of that give you an idea of cost up front no strings attached. I can almost say we will be less than this estimate, but sometimes we have to hold to it.
We are bringing the best show (for the dollar) in pedal pulling, pull in - pull out, and we are limited in our scheduling dates. We have proved our equipment at every level, including a great State and outstanding National. We guarantee we will only get better and we will travel if the date and price is right. Please if we are trying to help you out by making a long trip; look in your area for another community that could do a pull so we can serve as many children as possible. This also can cause a split of the mileage charge.
First of all every fee is a little different and depending on the situation there are assorted possible discounts, including first year and loyalty discounts.
The *Base Fee ($300) includes five tractors, two sleds, paperwork for State qualifiers at least 2 boys and 2 girls in each age division, Participation ribbons for every participant, PA System and a great family like any of the top pullers. We go the extra mile to make sure it is the best we can do for every pull. Many times we travel to the site ahead of the date to make sure we have a plan. Our crew is 3-7 people all who need to eat, etc. It does not take long to use this base up. Of Course, all fees can be discussed.
Check with us on special discounts on pulls that are on certain dates in July and/or tie together with other pulls on longer trips.
Your cost is the base + mileage + award = total
Mileage: What is the distance from Lenox Iowa 50851 to your location? Pull up mapquest.com and punch in your community and Lenox under directions. It will give you the fastest route which is the way we travel. The rate is $1 per mile one way. 50 miles makes it $50.
Now you need the awards.
Our basic package including 9 1st place trophies, 9 2nd place Medallions and 9 3rd place Medallions. For Boys/Girls mixed divisions 4-12. Approx $125
Of course there are many award packages possible. Check on what ever set up you like.
So now you have a package of awards. Add your awards to your base and mileage and you have an estimate. There can be other costs, for instance a long trip may require lodging which may need to be added. Once again there are ways to cut cost by helping us connect with another pull in the area on the same day, adjoining days, or weekend. Also remember if your event can help others they may like to help with the fees, and we can include their names in the sponsors list.
Lets say you are 75 miles and decide on basic awards.
$300+$75+$125=$500
With all this said do not let the price stop you from checking with us. We will work with you like nobody else. On the other hand remember you are getting the best.
Don't hold back on asking organizations about helping with Sponsorship of your event. Groups such as Farm Bureau, Phone Companies, HyVee, Implement dealers, etc. are happy to provide sponsorship when an idea is brought to them. Drop me a note and I might have someone that can help.
With the agreed upon fee we can provide the following.
Winners and qualifier pictures on-line with result listing featuring sponsors.

What do we need from the sponsor?
1. Ideally 60 to 70 feet of flat cement or asphalt, and it would be best to have a clear 10+ feet of width for the track.
2. Time for setup, the event, and pickup. In General we have at least a half hour for registration and during this we set up. Then the event can run an hour and one half in most cases. If we think there is likely to be 150 or more then we should allow 2 hours + to be safe. We did 142 in 2 hours this season, remember we have two sleds and can run two if there is enough help (2 men per sled).
3. A person to help at the table with names and other paperwork. We are finding with my wife and girls available the table is pretty good. This person can hand out ribbons and awards on for the sponsors, including Participation ribbons.
4. One or two mature individuals to help with the operation of the pulling equipment. Such as returning the sled or tractors to the starting point. Two is ideal.
8. Suggest an alternative site such as a fire hall or large shelter in case of rain. We can not pull in a down pour. We also suggest shade when reasonable. Please consider bleachers or seating if possible.
